KANSAS CITY, Mo. - There is a new team at the top of the NAIA women's cross country coaches' Top 25 poll this week. Azusa Pacific (Calif.) took over the top spot with 14 first-place votes and 585 points to edge Cedarville by eight points.

The No. 2 Yellow Jackets received seven first-place votes and 578 points. Cedarville, who occupied the top spot for six weeks including the preseason rating prior to this poll, dropped despite coming off a win in the prestigious All-Ohio Intercollegiate as the first NAIA school to win the title.

The next three spots remained the same. No. 3 California State-San Marcos, AMC member No. 4 Malone, and No. 5 Concordia (Calif.) all held their spots with 550, 532 and 518 points, respectively.

Biola (Calif.) moved up a spot to No. 6 from last week with 470 points while Black Hills State (S.D.) dropped to No. 7 with 469 points. The next three spots also remained the same. Simon Fraser (B.C.) remained at No. 8 with 460 points, Indiana Tech stayed No. 9 with 445 points and Wayland Baptist (Texas) rounded the top-10 with 416 points at No. 10.

No. 17 Shawnee State is the third AMC member in the Top 25.
