CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Notre Dame forward Eric Dummermuth is the first choice for AMC Player of the Week honors in men’s basketball for the 2009-10 season.
Dummermuth, a 6-foot-6 sophomore from Dover, Ohio, averaged 24.5 points and 8 rebounds in a pair of season-opening victories for the Falcons in games played on Nov. 9-15.
Dummermuth racked up 26 points, 9 rebounds, and 2 steals in a 105-49 romp over Miami-Hamilton. He added 23 points and 7 boards in a 53-49 decision against Rochester (Mich.).
For the week, Dummermuth made 19-of-24 shots from the field for 79 percent and 11-of-14 free throws for 79 percent.
