CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Mount Vernon Nazarene will be the host and top seed when the five-team AMC Women’s Volleyball Tournament is played on Nov. 13-14.
The field consists of teams that finished in positions 2-thru-6 in the league standings. AMC regular season champion Shawnee State does not play in the tournament and has already received an automatic bid to NAIA post-season play.
Mount Vernon Nazarene, 33-7 overall, is the AMC regular season runner-up. They will play in Saturday’s first semifinal at 11 a.m. against the winner of #4 Point Park, 30-7, and #5 Northwestern Ohio, 27-12. Those two teams square off on Friday at 2 p.m.
Saturday’s other semifinal pits #3 Walsh, 26-8, versus #2 Cedarville, 15-21, at 1 p.m. The championship match will be at 5 p.m. with the winner earning the league’s second NAIA automatic berth.
