CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Mount Vernon Nazarene guard Sierra Fletcher is the AMC Player of the Week in women’s basketball for games played on Nov. 30 through Dec. 6. It’s the second time in three weeks she has been selected.
Fletcher, a 5-foot-5 sophomore from Utica, Ohio, averaged 28.5 points and 6 assists in two outings for the Cougars.
Fletcher racked up a career-high 34 points with 6 assists in a 94-87 loss at NAIA Division II #4 Shawnee State. She buried 8-of-13 three-pointers in her performance. She came back with 23 points, 6 assists, and 4 steals in a 63-53 win versus Notre Dame.
In two games, Fletcher shot 47 percent from the field overall, 52 percent behind the arc, and 79 percent at the line. She contributed 12 assists, 5 steals, and 4 rebounds.
MVNU enters the week 5-1 overall and 1-1 AMC.
