CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Walsh shortstop Mike Suliks was named AMC Player of the Week while Ohio Dominican hurler Ryan Robowski was chosen Pitcher of the Week for games played on April 13-19.
Suliks, a 5-foot-10 junior from Norton, Ohio, batted .615 as the Cavaliers won five out of eight AMC contests. He hit safely in the last seven games including four three-hit performances.
In eight games played, Suliks was 16-for-26 at the plate with one double, two homers, and 10 runs batted in. He scored 11 runs to go along with four walks and a stolen base for Walsh, 19-23 overall and 13-15 AMC.
Robowski, a six-foot junior lefthander from Uniontown, Pa., recorded a win and two saves in three relief appearances for Ohio Dominican. He saved both games of a twinbill sweep of Mount Vernon Nazarene and notched a victory against Walsh.
In seven innings pitched, Robowski allowed just two hits and no runs. He fanned 10 batters and walked three for the Panthers, 22-14 overall and 14-8 AMC.
